Video camera for recording gigs?

Hey guys,

So id like to get a decent low light video camera for recording gigs,

My current sony bloggie is grainy as hell in the dark, and has the worst battery life I have ever seen.

I have been looking currently at the go pro's, and I have found I can get the Hero 1 HD's for $150 second hand (or $200 new)

Im wondering which one this guy has,

Can anyone else recommend anything?

I never understood what made GO Pro's so outstanding... can't you find out what the specs are of it, find a camera with similar specs that hasn't had the copious marketing attached to it for a fraction of the price?

Id get a go pro tbh im not an expert with cameras but from what ive seen they have some serious quality and there a number of nice apparatuses you can use to mount it in and stuff

Have herd people say go pros arent very good for djing because they arent good with low light, i dont think they are that good at all bar the mounting options and stuff you have
