I realise this is a very basic/rookie question but I'd like your guys advice.

Should I buy a mixer if one of the XLR outputs doesn't work? Will RCA suffice or is there a reduction in sound quality? and correct me if I'm wrong but will it go RCA to RCA from CDJ to mixer, and then either RCA or XLR from mixer to speakers?

Cheers

I myself wouldn't buy it for a couple of reasons:

a) XLR is handy, especially when using PA speakers. It is a much better connection than RCA

B) questions me how they have treated it to make it break, and what else may break if that is already broken

Hope this helps

Its a DJM600.

Also have the option of a DJM700, faulty effects channel but can pick it up very cheap, possibly worth getting this and paying for it to be fixed?

Yeah could be worth it man i have the 600 at home they are pretty old now though would have been through a hard life id say.

Potentially the output would be quite an easy and cheap fix not sure about fixing effects though
