AlexJ Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Well there has been quite alot of discussion lately regarding commercial tracksso i figure why not pick a few and battling them outI dont want to have a set track list because I think if we all head 10 different mixes containing pitbull and carly ray jepsan i think we'd all find a nice high bridge to take a little fall...on purpose. Now i want to make it a mini mix. 15 minutes max.Minimum of 10 tracks. No Maximum number of tracks for those who can cram them in.No mixes that have already been postedIm thinking give it the normal 2 weeks What do you'll think Anyone up for it? ill_spector Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 keen- if you sling me the tracksneeda practice my generic mixing skilllz Quote
AlexJ Posted June 10, 2012 Author Posted June 10, 2012 well thats what i figured, open tracklist, just a very strict limit on the time. That way everyones is different and no one has to stuff around with hosting tracks Quote
Hobberz Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Im in.Any rules on using acapellas and samples? Also when you say commercial do you mean Top40 stuff or popular EDM like Knife Party, Bombs Away etc? Quote
MelodyIlliterate Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 you kids are nuts.. im keen... exam study period for the win! Quote
AlexJ Posted June 11, 2012 Author Posted June 11, 2012 there is no limit to the acapellas/samples you can use. Anything that would be identifyable to the layman. for this reason i dont think the popular edm quite counts, as ive mentioned bombs numerous times to my mates and they've never heard of them, where as everybody has heard of katy perry. Quote
AlexJ Posted June 12, 2012 Author Posted June 12, 2012 say the normal 2 weeks from today. so tuesday the 26th of June Quote

Hobberz Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Without any prep, I just done 9 songs in 7 minutes Quote
AlexJ Posted June 12, 2012 Author Posted June 12, 2012 Without any prep, I just done 9 songs in 7 minutes*pulls out two mashups.*11 songs in 3 minutes.. haha Quote
MelodyIlliterate Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 pretty sure mashups are allowed but only count as one songlike like you need 10 tracks, not just 10 songsso mashup = 1 trackbut mixing an accapella over a track - 2 maybe? Quote
