djnatdog Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 What I'm talking are the Xtinct mixes currently doing the rounds on eBay at the moment. http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/retroelectro ... 4340.l2562 They seem to know what they are on about and they've got some happy customers by the looks of things, I spoke to a reputable industry djj and promoter who claims these things are worth 100x their weight in gold as they are truly unique and fresh and make a bad DJ look wicked. Just wondering on your input. Quote
djnatdog Posted June 7, 2012 Author Posted June 7, 2012 hmmmmmmmm So Cupe I take it you'd not risk it? I'm borrowing one of these keys off my DJ mate next week to see if they are worth it. Quote
Gandy Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 not for me, i need to know every track inside out thats in my collection Quote
mattus123 Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 im very curiousanyone else have any better knowledge on them?EDIT: agreed Gandy, but if you bought all those songs, you would filter through them and find the ones that you actually like and disregard the rest. You would only need to pick 40 tracks or so before it becomes the equivalent to buying them off beatport Quote
Cupe Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I duno aye..The ad seems too explosiveinyourface to be legit. If your product is solid you don't need to go on and on in coloured text like a spastic. That being said I haven't done any dirt digging about it, just checked the ebay advert. If you know a guy who got one and you're checking it out, post later on about what it's like, and if you found the hidden virus on the usb stick Quote
GREMM1S Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 tracklist?Legality issues, quality issues the list goes on, that said it's not a massive amount of money to just grab one and see what it's like. Quote
mattus123 Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 its true, the add is like a written version of you midnight guthy-renker adds.. which would basically mean the best part about the product is the advertisement Quote

They list a genre but no tracklist, Quality are assured to be the highest, and he claims he owns all the copyright I'll be checking on out later on in the week.its true, the add is like a written version of you midnight guthy-renker adds.. which would basically mean the best part about the product is the advertisementbut it could be the guy has no marketing skills and or knowledge what so ever. djnatdog Posted June 12, 2012 Author Posted June 12, 2012 Hey guys, My mate ended up chucking three different USBs filled with music my way today from these mixes, currently listed on eBay while it seems they are well cataloged I haven't heard a lot of the stuff it does state these tracks where only made direct to the public in the UK, which is kind of disappointing, they are ripped at a good quality with most of the songs running 6 - 7 mins taking up 50 - 88 mbs of space. I'm going to make a quick list of about 25 songs that are included on these 3 USB keys, I do notice a lot of the music has 2008 on the end of the mix, I'm guessing that was the released year, judging by the way it's been set out, it's certainly music I haven't heard around the traps before. Rock Civilization - Headhunterz Revenge - Jimmy the Sound. Jump Up & Get Crazy - Used and AbusedNight & Day - Used and Abused. Hold Us Back - Showtek. Fact - Haze. Give Me Your Life - Hasty Boy. B Cool - Hardstyle Masters.Father Mother - Wild Motherfuckers. Coffee Maker - Wasted Penguinz. Let The Music Play - Walt. Ripped Out - Riot Brothers. Checkmate - Lee Haslem. Candyman - Lab 4. U got the love - Hyperlogic. Come With Me - Styles and Breeze. Turn It Up - Squad E. That's all I'm listing for a time being now input if you'd like. Quote
AlexJ Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 sounds like someone trying to make money off a revival of old tracks imo Quote
