Jarred
Starting to get a little confused by the web and without a setup to test it out on its quite difficult. What im trying to find out is if you have 2x CDJ 900's and a DJM 900.. are you able to run Traktor on your laptop which you then connect both cdjs via to your laptop and then use the DJM 900 as the soundcard or from other shite i've read you can use the internal CDJ soundcard just as long as you've installed an asio drivers on your laptop and then it will route back through the cdj to the mixer... Any help would be greatly appreciated
Mitch
Depends if you hook them up using time code or hid. Will draw some diagrams and explain how it works in detail when I jump on the comp

SolDios
I think if you want to use timecode with the 900 mixer, you need to have the scratch cd's, cause all it is, is a inbuilt audio 8 pretty much.Id say install traktor, make sure your mixer/cdj's are running the latest firmware. Then look up (DJM "INSERT NAME HERE" traktor drivers)next open traktor preferences and select your sound card as the DJM.Should work from then on in

SourceRaver
I have CDJ 400s and you can use them in HID mode (ie control surfaces for Traktor Duo). You can also use their internal sound card with the correct ASIO drivers, but I have never gotten good results (latency issues) with this so am using a different external sound card altogether. The 900s should have the same capability.
GriffinAlliance
I think if you plug into the 900 mixer then you will use traktor timecode (CD or turntable) in the CD players. If you plug direct into the CDJs then I think you can use the inbuilt sound cards.Im guessing but I would say plugging into the CDJs direct would have less latency. SolDios
^ I think I saw you at the sound pond meeting. From what I have seen, they also don't have advanced HID mode so alot of the features go missing.Latency on traktor is really good ususally, my i5 macbook with 4gb ram has 0.02 second delay, which is excellent!Time code allows you to use all the features of the cdj's, however if you use HID you can use any mixer.
