Genetic
yeah the problem there is you need to buy a power stepdown transformer for each unit, and even then the frequency is out of sync, can easily start adding up to more real quick. unless they are like some gear that has a voltage selector switch
tubby
and you get no warranty on ebay for pioneer stuff. I wouldn't want to spend that much on a pretty complex bit of gear with no warranty
Tomy
Looks like Pioneer are getting things started in Brisbane by putting them in all the Family Dj booth's, word is its a sponsorship from Pioneer of some sort. The Met held the Pioneer night with Sander Klienenberg there a while back so you'd have to think they'd be a chance to get the same thing. From there most other clubs would surely be forced to follow suit.Im guessing Pioneer will use the same strategy everywhere, get them into some key clubs and watch everyone else play "keeping up with the Jones's"not surprised fam's and met would have them. i thought most clubs are on the hire express plan where they hire EQ from "company" then get servicing etc included. so no reason why they cant come in soon? Above-DiabloTraxx
i had a play on these at the recent dj conference called BPM here in the uk.... to be honest.. they are very overated...and dont warrant the 1700 - 2000 GBP price tag.sure the look nice and have some great new technology. The one thing that i thought was cool is the touch bar at the bottom of the wave form display.. u can skip to any point in the track on it... id still spend the money on the 1000mk3's and wait a year or 2 for the price to come down..
