CBG
what are they llike $2,500 each? lol.
CBG
its pretty insane. That link thing is cool.I reckon being able to see the entire waveform is a great advantage.
Intell-I-Gence
mmm i do like waveforms... those things have to be more than that. $500 more than a 1000 to get a display all those extra input types, the whole linky bit, i think not.. its gotta be more than that, pioneer is the only company with a cd player like this and they will milk it for all its worth
tubby
RRP is 3599, compared to 2699 for the 1000mk3. so i would guess street pirce is going to be over 2500 each still.nice player but really not offering anything much over cdj with dvs.
Intell-I-Gence
but you get a pretty pretty display screen... i do like how you can move through the waveforms with that lil bar type thing...
CBG
nup. still wont be much more than $2500 i dont reckon. The 1000mk3 are are about $1700 each. Nething more than $2900 is just bad business
Intell-I-Gence
pioneer seems pretty well into the practice of slapping on an extra $700-$900 for features that arn't that great... and these features are actually of use!
Skank
i just got told that in the uk the rrp is 1700 which is 3200 aussie dollars i recon its a huge step up with the new sound card customizable display for if your playing with a group of dj's and the needle drop function will take minuets of preparing the next track to mix as well as the loop function that quantazies the loop to eliminate human error, its beautiful and its full compatible with scratch tractor and abelton
defanutley
mmmm not sure bout em at all ,considering dvs systems are doing most of the new feature of these new pioneer cdjs, they look pretty but
CBG
Its definetily an awesome cd player. but i still wouldnt pay $6400 for a pair. I still reckon they'll be closer to $2500... we can only hope.
Skank
well i doubt it will be long before djwarehouse will have some sort of crazy package for like 5 grand, or we will see a lot of trade in your old mk3 and get a discont on the cdj 2000
Genetic
the usa site has a suggested price of $1600 for cdj900, and $2150 for cdj2000, has anyone checked out the djm5000 at all?oh and i better put a link in http://www.pioneerdj.com/Default.aspx
CBG
and the AUS dollar is about US85cents... so my guess is pretty close!
tubby
our price has always been at least 25% more than the us price directly converted though.

Tomy
not extreamly impressed. its a great up date to the mk3's but who couldn't see these updates coming to the product, usb, dvd.... the skip thing is interesting hope you can lock it while the track is playing would hate to bump it during a mix.cant see most clubs picking these up anytime soon.
CBG
nup. it'll only be a gradual thing. a lot of clubs wouldnt justify the cost considering the 800s/1000s are still awesome.
djAlie
not extreamly impressed. its a great up date to the mk3's but who couldn't see these updates coming to the product, usb, dvd.... the skip thing is interesting hope you can lock it while the track is playing would hate to bump it during a mix.cant see most clubs picking these up anytime soon.Looks like Pioneer are getting things started in Brisbane by putting them in all the Family Dj booth's, word is its a sponsorship from Pioneer of some sort. The Met held the Pioneer night with Sander Klienenberg there a while back so you'd have to think they'd be a chance to get the same thing. From there most other clubs would surely be forced to follow suit.Im guessing Pioneer will use the same strategy everywhere, get them into some key clubs and watch everyone else play "keeping up with the Jones's"
Skank
tomy- the needle search doesnt work unless the track is stoped or you are holding down the platter so you dont fuck things up in the mix
Genetic
the needle lock can be switched on and off from what i understand
CBG
Approximately $2000 here: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/PIONEER-CDJ2000- ... .m63.l1177Probably wont find it much cheaper than that atm.So I'll change my guess to $1900 looks better
