SolDios
Hey guys, after finding it out it takes an average of an hour and a half to setup my lighting truss by myself, I have decided I need to find a better option. One of them is this, the big light is only on an angle because It was just a quick setup. But what do you think of this option? it goes up amazingly fast, and the legs of the tripod are so wide I have no fear of it falling over. MelodyIlliterate
Not going to know until you try it bro. Looks promising though. Get some footage of it in the dark
Lurk6r
Looks a bit off balance. Personally im ocd for symmetrical lighting setups
LabRat
IMO, the fastest way or setting up a lighting rig is to reduce the about of lights effectively. With that stand there, you'd want to distribute the weight evenly or spread the legs out wide because a little knock will send that ass up
SolDios
I might try using two t bars, one for the laser, one for everything else Still faster than setting up the middle bar
SolDios
or the middle bar is made of two pieces, I could always move the adapters and shorten it to one piece, after all, I don't need a truss that big
Lurk6r
You could also consider selling the moonflower and getting another mini laser to reduce, weight/space requirements
SolDios
or I could get a UV cannon to balance the other side outIt's nice to be able to have your lighting change though the night, so it doesn't get boring.
SourceRaver
Shift the four head laser to the left to balance it with the fixture on the right. Move the mini laser nearer to the middle as they don't weigh very much.
SourceRaver
Get some mains power timers (the ones that turn the stereo on when your on holidays). Set each device to come on and off every 15 minutes (15 minutes is usually the smallest increments on a timer). Stagger the times so at least one light is on at any given time. Better still get a mains power remote and turn them on and off at will.
