So guys, out of everything in the market, what's your fave controller?

For me it's the VCI 400 Ean Golden edition

The perfect combination of everything that makes controllers great, with an inbuilt midi fighter, steel body, great quality build, and easy replaceable faders, and an incredible mapping.

Unfortunately the price is fairly hefty at $1100 + shipping, but this thing will last forever!

Not to mention it's sexy as hell!

Have used a few different ones over the weekend when i was down at the lightsounds opening and dj warehouse on the way home and my favourite would still be the Pioneer DDJ unit either the s1/t1.

Solid build, easy and familiar layout for those that have used pioneer gear before.

Yes, the new firmware makes it a standalone mixer also.

However in order for the cdj's hooked up to it to run timecode, you will need another sound card.

There is no real life situation where this would happen
