Jaz Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 For those who havent seen it...reported to have cost $400,000 Quote
andyman Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 This will probably be the only way we ever get Daft Punk Quote
eggssell Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 i heard after the show was finished the hologram recorded four more albums...... that was stolen from someone else's twitter reaction Quote
Scottie Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 $400,000? looks as like a GTA character...Apparently it looked pretty life like from in the audience. Quote
legunner Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 So god damn cool don't be suprised to see this with artists such as jimi hendrix etc. Quote
Addi Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Fuck thats epic. Definitely gonna open the door for heaps more of these I reckon. Quote
GREMM1S Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Epic technology, but it doesnt feel right to me almost disrespectful, really creepy i dunno. Quote
eggssell Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 yeah it was a little creepy, but only a little different then some of those frank sinatra duets or that grrl that did unforgettable with her dad. And they projected the person on a screen behind. well a little different in the sense of creepily different.what i didnt like is the manipulation in saying things like "whats up coachella". if they had just spliced and then interpolated the image from his old concerts to make it look like all one movement thats cool. but they should have just left his voice to just his voice. it was kinda like when eminem spliced tupac's voice to say shit like "shady records" or "what up obie"; when em produced that last tupac album. thats what got daz dillinger pissed off, because he produced a lot of the OG tracks and while he didnt mind afeni getting em to change the beats, it was kind of an insult to make pac say shit he never said. LabRat Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Haven't seen this til now. There have been some things done like this before (eg: tiesto's concert web he opened with Dance for Life) but this was wild! Some really cleaver people walk among us and this is an example of brilliance. Never really listened to the guy but was awesome to watch Quote

russell Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Let sleeping dogs lie. the whales dead (or is he)... let him be. Gorrilaz used this hologram stuff years ago and that was cool cos they weren't bringing back dead people. ps: Hit Em Up is one of my favs and possibly the best diss record ever. Quote
lok204 Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 what russell said...The vocal editing was straight up wrong and disrespectful, the hologram itself was kinda cool in the sense of the potential it has for entertainment in the future but to use it for dead artists is not cool with me. Quote
eggssell Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 This may not make sense to anyone not around when pac died Quote
JonnyB Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 thanks to 3d projection here is the next cochella lineup Quote
