SolDios
Hey guys,Payment just cleared for mixed in key, and it's safe to say I love it.However recently I just changed the settings so it overides the old comments with the new key, but it hasn't come though?Do I have to re analyse the songs or something? :/

Mitch
In iTunes:Highlight all the songs you analysedRight ClickGet infochange a field you don't use (e.g. composer) - i normally just put an 'a' in thereclick ok - your tags will updateclick get info againdelete the a i just put in composer.click okMattus' concept works, but only if you click get info then 'click' next through each song individually. My way you can batch update tags.

Mitch
Thats really weird. Your MIK settings still ok?The other day I was wondering why bpm tags weren't updating, it was because the option to write it to the tag became unselected somehow
yizzle
everything seems ok. but there is an option of automatically renaming songs after processing. I dont think i had that checked in the first place but i will give it a go
yizzle
wait, noo. thats not it. hrm. maybe if i re-install it. if that dont work i will contact mik.
yizzle
im going back to this thread cause i used to have troubles wit MIK updating my iTunes library on my old comp.MIK always analyzed the key and bpm, but i would have to update the tags manually..well now i got my new comp, that problem is gone EXCEPT for one thing. Beatport tunes.anything i buy off beatport i can analyze the key and bpm with MIK but never updates the tags in iTunes i still have to do it manually..any ideas? GREMM1S
What are your tag settings in mik? Also i dont think itunes has a native key field like rekordbox? What worked best for me was using comments for the tag info but they didnt always work well in itunes
yizzle
MIK makes iTunes comments set to eg. 6A - 85 << which works.MIK & iTunes seem to work fine with each other analyzing and updatings so when i open Trakor, all is fine. its beatport tracks particularly atm. i emailed MIK & beatport about it but got nutta. MIK will analyze them, but wont to anymore than that i wouldnt mind if MIK was a free prog, but........
SolDios
I have no issues, what I do is this:0. Open your music files with itunes.1. Consolidate all files in iTunes by highlighting all and right clicking, then select consolidate.2. next select your iTunes folder with MIK3. analyse4. play song in itunes, the tag should update. GREMM1S
Oh so the tags wont update on beatport files, you get wav or mo3?
Mitch
If your buying wav files they don't have id3 tag spots
GREMM1S
^ my next point was that yeah wave dont hold the tags.Another workaround could be to run all your music through mik first then into itunes.I put all my music into genre folders then run them through mik, i then take the songs out of the folders into itunes or rekordbox for my playlists
Sentinel
I had a similar problem, couldn't find a fix and decided to buy Platinum Notes as well.. analyzed all my tracks and MIK works every time now.. i figured it was something to do with the ID3 tags and PN just converted them into the right type for MIK. SolDios
Convert your wav to aiff, pretty much same quality, but supports id3
