Someone called "miami mashups" has stolen his track and uploaded it as their own, and is now charting at 86 on the electro charts.

Think he is going to try contact beatport about it, but really this shouldn't be happening, an up and coming DJ/Producer from regional vic/nsw, and people are game enough to steal his stuff and claim it as their own

My understanding was its not illegal to make mashups/bootlegs, but if you profit from them you need the original artist's permission.

Yeah I know. What I'm saying is they have stolen some dude's mashup which they are now profiting from. If they have stolen it from mitch's mate than I can nearly bet my kids that "Miami Mashups" haven't got permission from the original artist to sell a remake of their original. So that would mean they have done the wrong thing twice with this one track.

i remember finding this guy on youtube who had uploaded Reso's Warmachine! and hed got a great response with it , few 1000 plays and a 100 comments or so in a day or 2

I contacted reso and let him know and with in 5 minutes there was 100's of comments calling him a fake etc etc and account was deleted.

The original track is by a Glasgow producer and the remixer/label owner is also from Glasgow. I don't know Sei A but I do know Stevie (Hiro).
