So played my first pub gig tonight. So yer interesting experience. Transitions went alright

So I thought ide write a list of things ive learnt

1) Guys with beer must maintain a 10 feet distance from all equipment (although this is a no brainer for most parties, seems to more spills in pubs from my limited experience)

2) Avoid distracting drunk chics

3) Do not accept free beer

4) Check available power sources before you rock up to set up. Pubs often have limited power sockets to prevent power overloads from drink spills

5) If the pub owner says he has 'some lights I use for big parties like new year' this may translate to 'my christmas lights from the 70's still work'

6) If the music stops before midnight, you will be dodging glasses from the floor below.

7) Drop the base to often and you may just break it, or cause injury to the audience. As was discovered when a rather drunk obese women popped her kneecap...lol

and yer thats about it

equipment wasnt damaged so take a sigh of relief.

Great night though

Thanks you guys for the support.

i had bangarang requested like 10 times, so i decided Ide chuck it in, built up to the drop had 'bangarang' cue'd up, hit it and this women heard it and tried to do a sort of air splits and didnt get her feet together to land basically landed do the splits and popping out her kneecap or something like that. (so im told, she was taken to hospital and everything) all the while music pumping to this womens pained yelps.. she had enough friends there to cart her away before i thought of killing the music. so drunk people as they were, basically forgot about her and shit just kept on going

Onto like my 8th pub gig now and thats pretty much it aye hahaha

1) Guys with beer tend to hold it over the dj booth and your just looking at this drunk guy nearly spilling the beer on your shit

2)Drunk old women can be get over powering and scary

3)People will generally want something out of you

4)Never really had a problem

5)Pub lights are like 80's disco

6)Get the manager to walk over to you and turn the music slowly off and when they have something smart to say have the manager near you

7) Thats new haha
