Pair of headphones for production/the occasional gig.

Hi guys need a pair of headphones that dont hurt my ears like the xd53s

I'm not looking at something top of the line just looking at some cheap basic studio type headphones, ones i can wear for hours on end while i edit my work.

i recently purchased hd-25's when they were on special, as i too wanted something a little more lightweight and easier to transport/wear in public etc. Not sure if you wanting to spend that much, but man these things are light as a feather while still having awesome sound. A couple of weeknds ago i spent most of my weekend in my room watching movies/listening to music/gaming and wore these most of the time i wasnt sleeping. you dont even realise they are on your head, id highly reccomend.

i have also heard the pioneers hdjs are very comfortable, i havnt had any personal experienve with them though

hd 25's are awesome. Even if you want to spend a bit less, have a look at the hd 25 sp model, they are a cheaper model of the ones gandy is talking about. They aren't quite as loud as the full blown model, but they are still decent, and very lightweight

You could grab some 2nd hand hd25's like I did and grab some new earcups for em

25's would be my second choice as well

how do the 53's hurt? like your ear drum because they go so loud? or the outside of your ear because they dont suit you head shape/ear shape?

The outside of my war hurts because the leather doesn't seem to like my ears. Ill give the hd25s a look thanks guys
