russell
DJ'ing and making songs are two different things. What is it you want to do?

Jaz
you cant really make music/produce or DJ with just thatits an Effects unit dude, connect it to your DJ decks and mixer and add filters, flangers etc etc
legunner
Ditch the Kaossilator and chose whether you wanna DJ or Produce (just to start)If you decide to Dj try looking around and finding cupes lovely thread about begginers gearIf you decide to produce then download ableton, FL Studio, acid pro, reason, Logic, pro tools etc.Do some google/youtube searches on these programs and see which one you like. LabRat
I bought a kaossilator mini to sampleThe sounds out of. To be honest, it's cool (including the pro) but I can't see a use for it apart from some live novelties.
russell
its an Effects unit dudeIt's not actually. The Kaossilator is a Dynamic Phase Synthesizer. You can make small loops and layer a few sounds together but you'll need some software to records into. You couldn't produce an entire track with only a Kaossilator. You can get some nice sounds out of it though.
