Traktor audio setup

I want to preview with my headphones that are connected to a mixtrack pro and play live through the laptop speakers if that is possible. I've played around with it but cannot get audio through the headphones only the laptop speakers.

You need to go to traktor's settings -> audio setup and choose mixtrack pro as the soundcard to use.

Your master out needs to be played through different speakers than the laptop. You plug your speakers into the red/white sockets on the back of the mixtrack, and your headphones into the 1/4" jack in the front.

In traktor, you generally can only use 1 sound card at a time. Hence, if you want to use your headphones on your mixtrack pro, you also need to use the master out.

There is a way around this but its a paint in the ass and I haven't tried it.

Yes you may be able to aggregate the soundcards, but being different soundcards it doesn't work properly and different latencies amongst other things make it not very viable at all

Ok guess I'll need some speakers with RCA input, do you guys know any cheap ones suitable for bedroom practice.

What are you using at the moment, there should be an adapter

if it's just computer speakers, you will just need a 3.5 female to two rca male cable like this:
