Hey guys,

I was planning to do a mix today, but I am having so many stupid errors with traktor at the moment I want to throw it off a cliff.

Im going to try doing a clean install to try fix it, but here's the problem,

Every time I transfer iTunes from one computer to another, I always loose songs somewhere. How I normally do it is this.

1. Consolidate all files

2. Copy my complete iTunes folder onto a hard drive

3. re install itunes on new image

4. copy itunes folder to replace newly created one.

What would be the best way to do it?

I just want to clear all these dam traktor issue's so I can actually mix :/

have all your music on a hard drive then never have to move.

and then a tip i got from skank and pulsebeat, only move the tracks you need to the laptop on the night of the gig (analysing before you get to the gig!!). still bring the hard drive with you in case there is that one or five tracks you didnt copy over that you might need.

Make sure the old computer your copying from has updated iTunes, new computer also has updated iTunes, and copy all the XML files etc.

I have iTunes set to copy all music files to iTunes folder when I add them, so when I transfer no directories get stuffed up as all music is within iTunes folder. Maybe that is your issue, as I've never had a problem doing it
