Hooking up CDJ1000s to A Laptop

Hey guys

so im enjoying using CDs to mix with, but for purposes of making demos and that sort of thing, it would be WAY more convenient to hook them up to a laptop and use record box, rather than burning a million CDs.

Just wondering if there is anyway of doing this?

The simple answer to this, is no.

You can't use record box as its only compatible with 350s 850s, 900s and 2000s.

Your only options for using 1000s with a laptop are really traktor or serato time code setup, but that is a bit of an investment

If you're really interested in using Rekorbox, I'd sell the 1000's and use the money to get 850's.

As stated above, Traktor or Serato is your best choice, unless you want to buy CDJ's that are recordbox compatible.

Even if he did get 850s, your still using USB not laptop to play the music.

Only 900s and 2000s can use link function to play straight off laptop

playing off usb's would be good aswell

its really so i dont have to burn CDs for a 1 time event

either way, i dont see me selling my 1000s anytime soon, using only CDs isnt that much of a hassle

Just get a sl1 for $250

Or get a scratch duo setup for $200 (Both of em second hand)

If you want to use record box with your cdj 1000 you need mixvibes cross time code c.d software & a good sound card

Because mixvibes make record box software ...with mixvibes cross new 1.7 update you can input record box play list into mixvibes cross software and play on your cdj 1000 by time code c.d
