i most likely will go. let you know in a bit

cant be assed lining up though. frigging hate lines and too old to trick my way into avoiding them like back in the day

i noticed a guest list button, i wonder if that works when they got internationals. cuz technically its still just a bass mafia night. or jonny or p-daddy or anyone else in the biz, hook us up! ill buy you a drank

well there are tricks of course, spotting someone who knows someone, having a higher ratio of boobs in the crew and preferably on-show. they also have a guest list, lets take a roll call and put our names on?

if you going promo, dont you need someone to hold all your camera equip ;) and handle the interviews! my grammar be good

Saw Q on Thurs night at Rosemount in Perth. I have always loved Q, from the first time I heard Dr Octagon. But must say the gig in perth was Prodomenantly Dubstep ;-(

I understand Dj's need to keep with the times but Q is god of scratch not wubwub

IMHO

turntabilism and drum n bass have been linked since forever. Only makes sense that any offshoots/ related genres like dubstep would fall somewhere into the mix.

scratch perverts smashed their set last dec and it was peppered with dubstep.

so did he play a set or did a routine? I wasnt expecting a set

oh yeah havent done my one adjective gig review.

yeah it was awesome, with one fatal flaw, the venue was shyte for it IMO. now normally as i said all i care about is getting my jiggy on, so seeing the dj aint no thang.

but obviously with a turntablist half the fun is seeing the dj's hands. and i had good position, but could only see him bopping his head. because he's a short dude like me. i rection maybe 8-10 people got a good view out of the whole place. oxford art factory, or even good god would have been better.

that aside yeah he absolutley killed it. basically playing off reeps one (the UK beatboxer). so they kind of took turns with either Q drumming and Reeps doing bass, melodies and vocal samples. or Q cutting shit up while Reeps did the drums.

Qbert did get some solo action on with a bit of beat juggling and scratching.

best bits were Q's drumming. hella fast.

and when reeps one broke into a UK garage song, like actually singing. and then Q dropped the beats and bass behind it, including a nice build up, and then bang nice dirty bass drop.

defintely got my jogging in the spot on.

but i had already started with typhonics drum n bass set before hand
