Splitting 'work' music from like music

Lets say you spin electro most of the time at clubs and what not

And there are alot of threads about how to sort that shit

But how do u sort music that you have like full cd's of that you would never fucken spin, but u like

ie. i have loads of dubstep in 320 to spin, but i also have korns cd's

I just have it all in iTunes (or another program of choice).

All the music I spin goes into playlists and exported to recordbox

All my other music is mostly full albums, and just goes into iTunes and gets tagged, then i browse to it by artist or album in iTunes and doesn't go in a playlist.

iTunes handles all of my folder arranging, sorting it in folders in the format " Artist/Album/TrackNo Title.mp3"

If your an iTunes hater, sure there would be another program that does similar.

That's how it is at the moment, but I am considering creating a separate user profile on my computer, one for everyday use, and one exclusively for production/Djing. That will show separate iTunes libraries that way. May trial that soon and see how it goes

this is a good way if you dont have 2 laptops

i have jsut recently organised all my music on windows so now it goes:

my music > electro/metal/rock/hip hop > artists > albums > tracks

where all my artists are for each genre, ive also created a folder called 'DJ Singles' which contains all my singles that i use for DJing, most of the other stuff in there is just for general listening thou

then i just listen to it all in itunes (DJ stuff is in playlists) and i just search for the artist i wanan listen to

i pretty much do this, ill bulk up on tracks through beatport, and then throw them all in a playlist and burn them to cd, ready for my CDJS
