Software to quickly check kbps of tracks

I'm about to start the massive task of sorting my music

Is there a program to quickly check the bitrates and shit?

I want to delete everything that isn't 320kbps

Just realised in 'Details' view in windows you can select a column for bitrate

also, you can highlight multiple tracks in a folder then right click and go to properties. If they're all the same bit rate it will say what it is, if not it says multiple values. I dunno if that helps but it might make things quicker for weeding em out.

You could use iTunes match to get copies of your lower than 256kb songs and redownload them at 256 iTunes AAC? Worked great for me

itunes plugs into everything bud, once you have it sorted in their you dont ever have to worry about sorting it in all the diff shit you use

And to check out all the technical info about quality, encoding etc. that doesn't always show up in properties, i use a program called Invisor for mac.

There would be a windows equivalent somewhere

Set it in one folder. Then in folder options select copy view or something like that for all other folders. Then all folder will show it.

Another way to get it in one window is to use windows search filetype mp3. Then changethe detail to see bitrate. Then they will all be in one window without having to go into individual folders. Then you can even sort by bitrate and delete and or move the ones you dont want.

Watch out though you do know that the whatever itunes sells now, is it 192 or 228 or whatever, in their format is the same quality as a 320. Its only those sold from when itunes first started, the ones that had copyright protection, that the sound was balls.
