Jaz Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Tue 24th Jan, 2012 in International NewsBarely one month into 2012, “We’re Making A Dubstep Record” looks set to remain popular music’s bumper sticker for the foreseeable future. The latest act to get in on the act is L.A. stoner crew Cypress Hill, who have recruited hyperactive bass star Rusko to help them make a new five-song EP that’s heavy on the wubbs. Cypress X Rusko is set for an early-April release, and you can check out a preview Roll It, Light It below.“This is one of those styles that we felt doing with Rusko would be a great match,” the group’s mouthpiece B-Real has said in NME. “We’ve always been the type of group to take chances on doing something radically different than what people expect from us. So this carries with the tradition of us going out of the box. If it’s not something that we embrace then we don’t dare mess with it and this is something we fell right into the pocket of.” Quote
OxyKon Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 HELL YEAH BOI, i love Cypress Hill, and in this case it sounds like they'll be a great match with Rusko, cause essentially they have the rhymes to back up the beats, kinda like what Foreign Beggars do, im definitely hanging out for this EP Quote

lok204 Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 eggssell said itCyrpess Hill are cool and shit but clearly just jumping on the hype of 'filthy dubstep broo'After listening to the sample though it should sound cool, they seem like the kind of rappers that can rap to a dubstep beat - unlike the one that wu-tang did...eeek Quote
OxyKon Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Wait so someone we like does dubstep its not jumping on the band wagon, but someone we dont like does dubstep its jumping on the bandwagon....well said....The only thing that i wasnt on the bandwagon for was that beiber little shit, Cypress have been a fav of mine for many many years, Rusko is 1 of the Dons of dubstep, Korn, i used to really like back in the days when i was into metal n such, but im actually really curious to see what they come up with, when they did that track Get Up ft Skrillex, i actually dig it, like i said in my original comment, Cypress have got the Rhymes to back this project up, just like what Foreign Beggars doAgain im only not on the bandwagon for that teeny popping, balls in a vice grip, girly looking MoFo they call beiber thats where i stand Quote
russell Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 it was more the various musical artists jumping on the dubstep bandwagon we were on about. Quote
OxyKon Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 fair enough russell, i just felt like gettin my thoughts across Quote

GREMM1S Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Sounds quite good, very wary of similar dubstep albums from various hip artists and singers but this could be a good one. Quote
