Genetic Posted August 14, 2009 Author Posted August 14, 2009 i spoke to the initial organiser tonight and he'd still like me to come and put on a set, he said free drinks and he'll pay me still just not as much, if i have to bring any equipment he'll pay me extra for that.he apologised for it getting pulled out from underneath me as he was given the impression that i was working and wouldn't be able to make it... damn missus Quote
RhemyD Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 ok, if your doing this mobile wise then you need to declare etc as mentioned above... if your just doing this as a hobbey and not as mobile then charge something fair and reasonable, dont make it out to be a professional service and then that way you dont need to declare it as the ATO consider it to be a hobbey that you can recover some of your setup costs for.if your doing it professional make sure you have public liability insurance, are PPCA lisenced (as its a private party not a venue) and bring lighting to complement your show.as far as the other guy goes... he sounds like a backstabber... hope hes not a mate of yours...
