SolDios Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Hey guys, just wondering what you think of one of my other friends?I personally really like his stuff, he mixes happy hardcore.Your opinion? Quote
SolDios Posted January 10, 2012 Author Posted January 10, 2012 Should have put this in Techno and HardcoreSorry, my bad. Quote
Mitch Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 You two must battleLol'd.Couple of things:-why did he not touch the pitch faders the whole mix? Seemed to load a track then instantly two seconds later started bringing it in without seeming to beatmatch it. Or was he syncing and his cueing was just off?-too many effects and stuff-played with bass eq's every 2 seconds instead of trying to keep the songs beatmatched-not sure what he was Doing with the fx as I was only on my phone and can't see properly, but it was a bit too much concentrated on fx and playing with the bass eq instead of concentrating on getting them in time together-and the hitting of the cue button every two seconds lawl. Reminded me off press press guy-needed to watch the levels in a couple of spotsBut that's just me being honest and critical. Needs moar beat matching and timing of when to hit play, planning the builds and drops, less fx and stuff. How long has be been mixing? Quote
SolDios Posted January 10, 2012 Author Posted January 10, 2012 Agreed, those things do need to be worked on.I think about a year or two, it is quite a good listen still IMO. Quote

crundyy Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 wasnt even reading this thread at the time and was listening to that song and thought "this song = sols matey" Quote
mattus123 Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 completely agree with fuddstoo much fucking around with the bass eq, kinda ruined the songs for me, id much rather hear the song played straight through, theres no need to keep killing the bass like he did Quote
