Laser Light Laws

I've used the Shinp 55c's on a regular basis and think their great value for money. They can be controlled by DMX but also have some cool sound to light features. Dont expect them to last forever tho, you get what you pay for.

What state are you in Sol (location...not your current feelings)?

WA is a nanny state so anything more powerfull than a 4.5mW laser is illegal unless you have a radiological (laser) license to operate it. Probably different in other states but I suspect the laws may be similar.

Im pretty sure Im allowed to use it, as it's for a business.

We have a thing for lasers over 1MW, but this thing is 480mw

Here are our rules:

http://www.sapolice.sa.gov.au/public/do ... p?id=49419

It says that businesses are exempt.

But mums working in the cells at our police station atm (Been there for 25 years)

Il get her to ask someone for me.

Il put up a sign outside where im playing saying: (If you value your eye sight, do not look into the laser)

Il also not point it directly at the dance floor, but slightly up, so people can't do it accidentally.
