I'm trying to spread the word to general public/clients about dodgy dj companies, who ripp you off and steal work from actual dj's.

If you've had any experience with a similar matter please tell me about it. Otherwise if you could copy my fb status it would be appreciated.

There was a warning went out last week to a lot of people I know involved in the Glasgow scene as some guy has been stealing tracks off of soundcloud and releasing them as his own.

Can't find the name of the guy though.

Lurk6r is essentially trying to alert people of companies that are sending out people without proper knowledge, experience and equipment to do gigs, yet stating the equipment is professional and the 'DJs' are experienced and capable of the job when they often aren't

Equipment = discman. As for experience I had to train this one dude who didn't even know what an iPod was.

Business always will and always has concentrated on sales over quality. Unfortunatley it is the nature of business.

To balance this it is up to customers to reward those who supply quality, and punish those who are only good at selling.

Unfortunately the sales business is winning and customers are complacent.

THIS IS A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT. Moby Disc has been ripping off unsuspecting customers, by sending so called "dj's" that have absolutely no experience. They have virtually no training beyond setting up and turning the volume up or down and are told to lie about their previous experience. This company charges you upwards of $300 and they bring DISCMANS, you know those things they stopped making in the 90's, and think this is acceptable. So if you are thinking of throwing a party this festive season, ask what equipment they are using. If you don't hear the cdj or turntable or traktor. Hang up. There are plently of tallented dj's in Australia who struggle to get gigs because everybody is using big companies who will only rip them off anyway. SO POST this on your wall to warn others.
