yizzle Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 oh no...Korn has been at work on a new album with dubstep-style influence, having already collaborated with a handful of producers for the new material.“We’ve collaborated with six, maybe seven dubstep producers on the new record,” bassist Reginald ”Fieldy” Arvizu tells NME. “I’ve done my parts, I think Jonathan [Davis, singer] has a couple of vocal takes still to do, but it’s almost done.”The band released its first dubstep-influenced track, “Get Up”, last month, which was produced by Skrillex. yizzle Posted December 11, 2011 Author Posted December 11, 2011 honestly, its not terrible. It does resemble dog shit on your favorite flavored ice-cream. it stinks but hey it tastes good.Business wise; a popular band mixing in a current fad. music that will put them in clubs etc. = smart oh no... Cupe Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 harder styled 'bands' always seem to have electronic versions of their songs thougheven rammstein has some gay versions (eskimos and egypt or whatver it is) so this isn't new Quote
yizzle Posted December 11, 2011 Author Posted December 11, 2011 rammstein always had a synth/keyboard player though. It was the glue in the crunch Quote
Cupe Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 rammstein always had a synth/keyboard player though. It was the glue in the crunchBut they were an industrial band, not electronicwhat i mean is alot of rock and metal bands have electro versions of some of their songs released all the timesometimes with the original album toomost of the time they sound like shit but just saying, OP isn't something new Quote
Blodders Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 wow... they managed the hat-trick... all three reasons not to like it Quote
Tomy Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 why does it feel lately like everyone is clutching at straws..this! best quote ever. it does seem like it a bit. One thing i will say if Follow the leader did come with a bonus disc of remix's at some stage, plus since there drummer has been gone a lot of their new album's post issues (i think) has been very electronic and programmed drums.
