Hey guys..

This is absolutely terrible, I know! I plan to improve obviously, but yeah, this is KIND of the style im going after.. NONE of these tracks are my own, I have downloaded some mixes from other artists on SoundCloud, im not trying to make this my own stuff, just mixing.. (disclaimer)

http://soundcloud.com/djgotskillz/first-mashup

"tracklist"

Nari & Milani - I Got My Eye On You (Nari & Milani Remix)

Bombs Away - Supersoaker

Martin Solveig & Dragonette - Hello

Example - Changed The Way You Kiss Me

Pitbull ft Ne-yo, Afrojack & Nayer - Give Me Everything

Snoop Dogg ft Cataracts - Sweat (Bass Down Low) (found on youtube)

Attempted to throw in Acapallas of Big Booty Bitches (bombs away) and Shake That (eminem ft nate dogg) which kinda failed

Ke$ha - Take It Off (remix found on either youtube or soundcloud)

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Give It Away (dubstep mix) (found on soundcloud)

"Mother...ing big fat bass" mix I had found..

I know it's quite terrible, again its kind of the way I want to lean towards with making mixes.

Don't be too hard! lol

You can just put the transition times next to the track list on your first post here chief

Mix was pretty decent, lots of bangers, it'd go down well commercially. went a bit rough around 15:00 but that's where you already noted those acapellas didn't go down too well.

also I think that kesha remix's intro was a bit to fast so doesn't fit in with the rest of your mix that keeps a steady pace

that chilli peppers remix was phat lol

alright overall, and I think you already picked up on the more troubling area's yourself which is good.

look forward to seeing more of your stuff lad. stick around

Thanks buddy!

Yeah, I guess the commercial, or 'club' scene is where I get a lot of my inspiration, I listen a LOT to particular DJ's and attempt to mirror thier style. The way I "mix" I guess, it would be asif I was DJ'ing for a club, and getting people on thier feet.

Like I said, im working on another mix at the moment, trying to fix up the stuff ups, the one question I have - is it possible to increase tempo of acapella's wihtout them sounding like they're on helium?

I only use the basics at the moment (virtual DJ) so yeah, any advice on that would be perfect.

Cheers!
