hey lads,

want to do a bit of promo for all our exceptional talent on here for all my family friends and make up a 2 disc adjf annual, one with mixes, one with tracks. To fit more on i will be burning it as a data disc, so tahts about 750mb worth of mixes for one, tracks for the other.

Im thinking maybe ill have to make up inserts for the physical media say like Artist - Track Name - Soundcloud, and if i host it digitally ill put a readme in the zip file

first things first:

do you think this is a good idea?

are you happy/comfortable/give me permissions to use your tracks (all with due credit of course)

dependign on your feedback, if no one has any issues with it, please post your best work of the year, seeing how mixes can be quite big if your posting a mix please only post one, tracks probably a lot more flexible cause of file size

anyway let me know your thoughts, seeing as i cant focus on making mixes with no dj gear (and have no idea how to do it in FL Studio yet) i still want to contribute in some way or another

your avg 45min mix at 320kbs is roughly 70ish mb which is roughly 10 mixes, which im happy with, i want peoples best as not only are you repping yourself, you're repping adjf, ie no "did this mix no prep few misdtkes lolz" kind of shit, i want this sounding professional. Just to prove a point, i went into the cafe today who i handed my august mix to, he had it pumping and his next door neighbour went out of his way to go over to his house and ask who it was/who did it cause he liked it. I want that to happen for everyone

tracks at 320 at 6 mins are roughly 12mb so theres a lot of room to move on that

im burning this as data disc because of the room to move with 750mb and surely everyone by now has a mp3 compataible player

ps iw ant to tery and get this done before chrissy, at the latest new years eve. nothing better than listening to soem good tunes on your chrissy lunch with the fam/friends gettin ont he piss, and again as pre-drinks new years eve so the sooner you post you stuff the more time i will have makin this look decent

The other week I even had a thought of making a mix with exclusively tracks made by forum members, not sure how that would tie in here though?

i've tried that with a few ADJF dubstep tracks

it was difficult and quality varied

probably way easier with electro

yes hobberz i was going to put your track as the openeer lol... im looking for the best, its not genre restricted, i would much rather have a variety from house/electro/dubstep/prog etc etc, its more appealing to the crowds so they can at least pick one or two memorable ones they enjoy

dont think my flava fits the bill but this is an awesome idea Gandy.

Poss start ADJF own mixcloud and soundcloud to post it all on too, then youtube channel etc.

All set to no downloads but all linking to the forum itself where people can purchase cupes pressed up masterpiece. Everyone gets heard more, adjf gets more hits, some sales may be made.
