Robsta Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I keep trying to record my mix but the [REC] button won't work/press/stays grey.Any ideas?P.S. I'm using Traktor Pro 2 Quote
imadje Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 have you sorted the path which it follows to record?in the preferences pane there are options to set.If you choose to rec from an external source (which is what you have to do if using timecode with a mixer) then you will also have to feed an output from your mixer to a spare input on your NI soundcard. Then you choose this input as your path. You also have to choose where your recordings will be saved.let us know if this doesn't help. Quote
awesome88 Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 that happened to me. I had to change it to internal like imadje said Quote
Robsta Posted December 4, 2011 Author Posted December 4, 2011 Using just the S4 + Traktor 2 and setting the recording to internal it still stays grey Quote

eggssell Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 robsta post up mix recorder and global settings Quote
eggssell Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Hmmm sorry man ive only done external, and looking at that looks perfect for internal. Quote
imadje Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I too have only done external recording so forgive me if i'm way off the mark;the output routing section has an option for output record path. Your master and monitor on the same page of preferences are set but your "output record" is "not connected" Should this be assigned to something? Quote
Lurk6r Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I believe you need to set OUTPUT RECORD to MASTER L/R Quote
Lurk6r Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Also for future reference, the loop recorder works in a similar fashion, you need to tell it where to record from. Quote
Robsta Posted December 18, 2011 Author Posted December 18, 2011 Nope still not working Lurkerits giving me the shits Quote
Robsta Posted December 20, 2011 Author Posted December 20, 2011 WHO ELSE CAN I SEEK ASSISTANCE FROM? Quote
eggssell Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 post on the NI forum they are pretty helpful but youll prob have to draw schematic and post same preference pictures Quote
eggssell Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 oh and djtt forum is hit and miss, so try that afterwards Quote
Mitch Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Only other thing i can think of is change the directory where the records get saved desktop and try again, and see if that fixes anything.Otherwise a reinstall, as i can't see anything else. When i used midi, the record function worked straight out of the box Quote
Robsta Posted December 20, 2011 Author Posted December 20, 2011 Tried the directory MitchNo luck Quote
