making intros

i wanna make a custom intro that i can use at the start of my mixes with a bit of a name drop and a few mashed up sounds, sort of like dj rectangle does with hes mix tapes.

what program would you producers suggest i use i was thinking acid but i have no experience in producing

Have you got a microphone and a EFX box ? make your own , they sound better than some overused sample

Just get the cheapest DAW you can get (aka free), if all you want to do is record something in you won't need anything fancy.

I would recommend reaper or audacity, both free downloads.

yeah man all you need is a sampler. like chev said reaper and audicity are both great for that.

if you want something a bit more versitile. get ableton live.

i got it today and am already loving it more then ive ever loved FL studio.

yer ill go with abelton when i can figure out how to use it, i dont just want a name drop i want about a minuet of mashed up tunes with my dj name thrown in a few times some scratching

yeah i know what you mean.

its like a signature intro to your very own mix, it give little previews of the songs the listner will be hearing through out the mix, and you can add your own little vocal's and one shot hits and what not.

theres no definitive program thats does it all for u, its pretty much wats on ur mind and how u want it to go..the softwares will give u the platform to get started on it...im starting a mixtape right now and the intros annoyin the hell out of me, i want it to sound real good
