A turntablist trio originally formed by three killer DJs in their own right - Tony Vegas, Prime Cuts and DJ Renegade Londons Scratch Perverts have been mixing sick beats since 1996. What started as casual jamming between friends grew into a world acclaimed career spanning over fifteen years. Both as a collective and separately, this talented group of deejays have won competition after competition, including big names like the DMC Team Championships, ITF World Scratching Titles, the Vestax Battle and more (Prime Cuts even bested A-trak in a 1999 battle!)

These days, Scratch Perverts no longer need competitions to prove they are the all-mighty rulers of the turntable! Spinning genres from dubstep to funk, disco to hip hop, pop and alternative, even drum n bass - there is no limit to their creativity or resourcefulness.

It's a cold thumpin' HIP HOP, FUNK, BEATS, DUBSTEP & UK GARAGE party spectacular. gandy, not sure if youve been to syd but oxford art factory about 10 min walk from city centre, so anywhere near city (or from where you can get to city) is close enuff. darlinghurst, slurry hills and bondi all reachable.

but judging from your post flights are a little bit expensive. that blows, must be the whole xmas/ nye thang.

i am so angry right now, i have so much repsect for turntableism and would LOVE to see such legends in action, ive already bought the tickets before i looked at airfares (honestly didnt think they woudl be too bad), im just disappointed that i wont be able to a legendary act because of airfares...

cheers, ive only been once and stayed with friends in the chipping norton area, (think its about 40-50 mins from the city), so im thinkin might just have to stay at star city casino for the 4 days im there haha

what a great night. the boys didnt do a scratch routine but more did a dj set. a four deck set: prime cuts on tt's, an X1 and tsp; and tony vegas with cds on cdj's. with its fair share of flair, scratching, and that feedback thing playing with faders only (you know the thing they made famous and then craze and atrak started using, amongst everyone else in the dmc champs).

their set had a nice little mix of breaks, cheesy female vocal breaks, drum n bass, little bit of jungle, and some dubstep (mainly as the drop, and usually not for much more than a minute). there were a few annoying times when they built up on a nice drum n bass track, and waiting for a go crazy drum n bass drop but they dropped a dubstep drop but nothing that killed any vibe.

i danced the whole 2 hours, in fact i was dancing from about half way thru frenzie's set when he broke out the raggatron and dancehall.

lots of skanking, and lots of that jogging in the spot move. hahaha jim will know what i mean, i always picture english people dancing like that to the faster cuts of drum n bass and jungle. i always picture damon albarn in some trackies and some new balance sneaks.

EDIT: how awesome is that. i actually didnt know they were changing octaves by chanigng the master vol on the headphones. i always wondered how EQ could change the tone, because it wasnt the EQ doh

Ps- jogging on the spot= running man in my lingo. I used to do that for about 8 hours straight with the occassional jesus pose during a big break. Now that was really dancing lol.
