ongsta
Hi all!Bought a pair of 15" EON G2's a few months ago and one of them seems to have a problem where it would play at full volume and then sound will cut out/become soft/distorted/fuzzy intermittenly. So it would be fine for a bit, and then start cutting out for a bit and the problem will come and go.I'm not sure what it could be, has anybody experienced this before and are they aware of what may be causing it? It seems like an issue that would be caused from overheating but it still happens when the gain is turned slightly up, no way near the volumes it's capable of.Any idea where I should start to see if this problem can be fixed by myself?Secondly, if it definitely needs to be repaired by a specialist - does anybody know any decent repairers in Sydney? Thanks,Andy
Jaz
if you bought them new they are most definitely still under warranty?
ongsta
Sorry, should have mentioned that they were second hand.
Gandy
are these speakers you use when your playing/djing or just listening to music when your home?
ongsta
are these speakers you use when your playing/djing or just listening to music when your home? They were purchased to use at my private gigs: birthdays/weddings etc.EDIT: hehe they're a bit over-kill to use at home, I'm sure my neighbours wouldn't be too happy! ongsta
The speakers have been used at a gig once or twice, the last time I'm pretty sure they were clipping the red-zone a fair bit.Do you think the drivers have been damaged? Gandy
im not saying thats definitly the cause, but having it redlining all the time over a 3-6hr gig is not good
Mitch
Clipping is a speakers worst nightmare

DJBigKev
Depending which model EON's you have, 15" G2 are powered speakers rated at 300 watts low-frequency and 100 wattshigh-frequency (bi-amplified) - actual power delivered to the drivers.1. I would check your audio cable first as these are powered speakers you'd be running extra long Audio from your mixer to the amp/speakers.2. contact the Australian Distributor JANDS AustraliaJANDS PTY LTD40 Kent Road (Locked Bag 15)Mascot, NSW 2020T: +61 2 9582 0909F: +61 2 9582 0999web address: www.jands.com.au

I've tried different XLR cables, but I've never thought of trying a different power cable. I'll also give that a shot!If all fails, I will be contacting JANDS.
