RhemyD
Hey guys,Just thought i would quickly check if anyone has any idea if a mobile broadband modem would create any interfeerence with a audio sound system?I'm planning on using my mobile broadband tonight at a mobile gig i've got just to keep in touch etc when the "boring" part of the night occurs. Also its kinda a test as I'm looking at in the future broadcasting my gigs live.Anyone know if it will cause interference like a mobile phone does? If i get told not to i'll avoid using it tonight and test it myself at home later on.Cheers guys.
CBG
In my little knowledge, i still severly doubt it. Put yourself in the situation where if you were playing at a pub in the middle of Adelaide. There would be say... 10+ internet and mobile signals going across the room at any one time yeah? I just couldnt imagine it happening lol.wish i could help you further. GOOGLE! lol

RhemyD
ok so heres the conclusion from my testing... I didnt get a chance that night but recently tried it on saturday night at another gig... no interfeerence what so ever. Looks like i may have just found a way to stay in contanct with my other DJ's while on gig for no cost now if only i could work out how to port forward on a mobile broadband stick so that i can get broadwave to work right

SourceRaver
My work employs the occasional Dj who uses a mobile broadband modem to download music from I-tunes as people request it. In fact last time he turned up with a dual Cd player and two Apple Mac books! So you shouldn't have a problem.
RhemyD
lol that occasional DJ might want to check Itunes TOS coz you cant use thier music commercially BUt that's a sick concept if the music industry could sort out their shit with MP3'sas far as portforwarding... that site has nothing about the modem i use... apparently you cant do it with ym modem... i think the word cant just means i will have to write my own code to do it lol
