mmmm more like scratch sampling but without scratching

go to 1:30

really wanted to use the "you do it like this" in a sample over a track

haha its funny cause it says featuring static-x but its jus the lead vocalist/guitarist playing the guitar :P if your wanting to use that sample for a track you'd jus have to try and dig around on the net. plus if your looking to have that exact scratch sample without scratching it could even be harder to find, you'll most likely if anything find the actual sample but you'll have to scratch it yourself and record it to use it on your track

that sucks... i've been looking everywhere for it.. i've found out that it was originally used on a track called step up by linkin park but i cant find the sample any where... tried using the whole track and playing with the hot cues but it sounded pretty crap. probably was not the track and just my method, hence why i was checking to see if any one would like to share some proper technique with me

Bro jus keep searching, eventually you could come across it, or maybe even find 1 that's better :)

Ps..... Isn't step up from their album when they were actually called hybrid theory? Maybe try checking that out too

the wiki says that it's mr Hahn saying 'and you do it like this', and it's first appearance is in 'It's going down'. It's scratched in that track too, so your only real hope of using that exact sample will be if it appears in a track without any background..

This video make me sad ever time I see it ....RIP dj ROC RAIDI...

The samples you are looking for are on the X-Ecutioners sample pac

did they ever release the dvd of the roc raida tribute. i remember seeing the youtubes (all with the shitty sounds with the bass just messing things up); but at the time the rumor was they would package it up as a tribute dvd, with all funds going to his foundation.

it was awesome, everyone whos anyone in the turntabilist world. atrak, craze, ztrip, klever, his x-men buddies and so on

Haha funny thing that jus happened to me melody..... Sorta off topic but it does relate to sampling, I'm at my gf's place tonight n bored cause she's watching Glee, so I'm on her comp checking out wats in her iTunes and I came accross my very 1st live mix in a club that I did, i tried to use a sample over the top of another song, being it was the 1st time ever tryin to use a sample I thought it was cool but i should never have attempted it, listening to it now I absolutely laughed at my performance, classic moment of my 1st show :P
