elmostephane
Hey all, I've gathered quite a few books in my studio during the years and these are the ones definitely worth reading:Sound engineering:Recording tips for engineers by Tim CrichMixing with your mind by Michael StavrouModern recording techniques by Hubert & RunsteinMusic business:Becoming a successful producer / engineer by Bill GibsonMusic Business by Shane SimpsonOther than that, I strongly recommend video tutorials. These are where you'll learn the most.

Tomy
time to add some of the books i've read thenthis book is really great, a bit more focused on recording & bands but some seriously good techniques and info in there I'm constantly referencing this one. I bought the hard copy but you can get a PDF version. Has a really good section on compression http://www.mixingwithyourmind.com/
