Honestly...I can respect a Dj who bounces around behind the decks prettending to Dj and looking like hes having fun. I would struggle to find something to do and would probably stand there looking like a stuned mullet.

However...

I do struggle with the idiot who made some poor techy set up all the gear properly (complete with floor monitors and camera on the mixer) when none of it was actually needed.

Maybe she did, maybe she didn't.

I'm willing to say it was Tommy Trash or Vandalism etc

I reckon she's alright. We gotta support out females dj's. The scene is an outright cock fest!

ummm dont think she ever claimed it was. she is just the singer on the track (she was a singer before she was a DJ). the track was produced by snob scrilla amongst others. (wikipedia).

i think people who listen to edm sometimes forget that prior to the superstar dj, producers were not necessarily the front billings. i mean it wasnt quincy jones featuring michael jackson if you know what i mean.

dont really know her DJ skills as i dont really know her and cant see the vids, but i know she gets a lot of hate on here so i can only guess that means she's popular(?).

Alright gentleman, Havana Brown is playing at my work tonight.

I'll make sure I get as close to the booth as possible so I can confirm/deny any of these stories.

Cheers whales.

it doesnt show it in that video but later on on the x factor they asked her a question like "how did you get into the industry" and she replied with something like, "ive always DJ'ed and produced tracks for other artists and i thought it was my time to get into the spotlight"

which i believe to be a load of shit, i agree with spitfire that we need more females, but not if they are going to get famous because they are hot and thats it

just did a bit of research and found out production duo More Mega produced "we run the night"

andy, can you get some video bro, this topic really interests me

Andy, they ever let you up on the decks?

I've only been working there a few weeks so no.

I might see if I can come in during the day and have a spin when no one is around.

Would be awesome fun playing on such high quality gear on a big system :D
