Choice of DVS

Hey guys. Going to make a gradual shift to a DVS system with the twin 1200s and two CD players for a bit of alternation. Not prepared to go fully digital.

Also Im hoping to get a drum machine as I am an ex drummer and have a great sense of rhythm.

Im thinking of going with Traktor Scracth Duo and grabbing the NI Maschine http://www.djwarehouse.com.au/cat/index.cgi/shopfront/view_product_details?category_id=7892&product_id=1219733 for obvious reasons.

What do you guys think? Any tips?

- Additional hardware

- Serarto or Torq

- Live for samples?

- Traktor Duo or Pro

etc

Yeah but its more expensive. Will the Maschine still work well with Serato.

I learnt pretty much everything about serato tonight... love it. 1.9 looks mad, apart from there being no pitch control on the 4 secondary decks

yeah man. i read all about it. Check out the 'loop roll', thats been made an actual feature. 6 bank sampler. But no independent pitch no control for the banks... not cool. Means you have to adjust the pitch of the primary decks, which we all know is a big no no.

are you planning to run just the tt's through the dvs and use audio cd's in the cd deck? or want time code on all 4 channels? or run a couple of channels internally in the software via midi, on top of the time code channels? do you want effects?
