Jaz Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 google bro, doubt there would be a book easy to find like "DJing For Dummies" sort of thing...im sure there would be a guide write up from a producer somewhere though Quote
SweetIshDub Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I learnt FL pretty well off youtubesame, Image-Line has a ridiculous amount of fl tutorials and there are a lot of good ones people have made on their own as well Quote

SolDios Posted October 25, 2011 Author Posted October 25, 2011 just found out Porter Robertson used FL studio to make say my name Quote
Mitch Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 just found out Porter Robertson used FL studio to make say my name It's not all about the software, it's who is using it Quote
JonnyB Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 yeah sol, there is nothing wrong with FL studio at all, its a top quality software if you know how to use it.Afrojack uses it (or at least was using it), Rico Tubbs uses it, Deadmau5 used to use it. Quote
SolDios Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 Yeh, I was only saying that because it has alot of stupid hatters for some unknown reason Quote
Gandy Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 i dont think ive seen one person on the boards hating on it Quote
awesome88 Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 it has alot of stupid hatters for some unknown reason Quote
JonnyB Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 the people that hate are uneducated whale's, they rip on it, because for the most part, the sound quality that comes out of FL studio tends to be of a lower quality then say logic or ableton, and because of its lay out, its alot easie to get used to and pick up then the others, giving the software a 'beginner's' software feel to it.but as i said, it gets that because people use it and dont know how to use it to its full potential, they get bad results and call it shit.put the time in, learn it back to front and there is no reason why FL studio cant make music of the highest quality!pretty sure laidback luke uses it too Quote
SweetIshDub Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 really well put JonnyAlso, it comes with a lot of example projects made by artists that use it (deadmau5 being one of them) so a thing you can do is check them out and deconstruct what they did. I found that pretty helpful in the beginning Quote
eggssell Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 gahaha awesome889th wonder may have moved on (back to MPC's), but he used it on heaps of classic tracks for murs as well as his much acclaimed Nas God's Stepson re-edit album. Quote
