SolDios Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Ok, I was about to purchase scratch duo second hand for $200 but it fell through.Ive been thinking though, is it worth me even getting it?you have your songs listed by artist A to Z for this exampleyou burn a cd with artist A and artist C, but then you find an artist B. Do you re burn the cd or...?people might say just only have A on one cd, but repeat the above method with AA AB and ACso whats your opinion? or should I just wait for another traktor scratch to pop up? SolDios Posted October 12, 2011 Author Posted October 12, 2011 Im sorry if ive already created a topic about this Quote
Mitch Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 There is heaps of different ways, two I can think of off the top of my head:-one track + its remixes per cd. With this way if you Want them in a-z every new song you'll have to shift all your cds, or Just have them in order from oldest-newest. -another method is the month you download them, put all those new tracks on CDs and label them with the month + the tracks on it. Can even split this up even more and make one for each set of keys for each month "eg October 2011 1-3"Would be all the music you download this month in key numbers 1-3.Ultimately nobody can tell you the 'best' way, as what works is different for everybody. And btw yer Im pretty sure you've made a thread on this before, why didn't you search it up? Quote
Jaz Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 this is why people burn 1 song per cd, because its so hard to keep your playlists on your CD's in order because every time u get new music u have to re organise... Quote
SolDios Posted October 13, 2011 Author Posted October 13, 2011 ^ unfortunately when Im mobiling, I have to have an assload of songs (over 1k) ready for requests.Prehaps its just better to wait for another scratch duoand thanks mitch, the best way to do it would be your way of 1 track + all it's remixes per cd. Problem is that it would be cheaper to buy a scratch setup than all the cd's. Thats why I was going to go with the 10 tracks per cd option Quote
mattus123 Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 hey sol ive asked this question to people many times and basically got the same answer each timethere is no right or wrong way, its all personal preferenceive been told that 1 track per cd + remixes is the best way to go, but i cant bring myself to doing thatso i set up CDs with 5 tracks per CD based on similar genre, so far im finding that this works fine Quote
Lurk6r Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 Energy Level/Part of the night it usually plays at.Color code for genres. If your want to be really anal. Code the cd's and make a document with all the songs and their cd codes so you can search the doc on ur laptop. Quote
