crundyy Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Lately I've been considering selling my techies and buying cdjs, dont really plan on playing out anywhere just to fuckaround and make mixes for the boys and whatnot. Mainly because..1.the case my techies are in is huge as and takes up too much space2.if i did want to keep playing wax and record mixes/scratchin id need serato/laptop which i dont have the cash for3.buying vinyl is a bitch4. im guessing i can get a pretty good price for them and buy a fair decent setupheres a photo of what i have, what do you think would be a decent price to ask for them? the only major damage is the black part on one of the cords is a bit frayed but ive taped over it nicely so it really doesnt make a difference.Uploaded with ImageShack.usboth turnies are in the same condition.and this is the roadcase and mixer.Uploaded with ImageShack.us Quote
Jaz Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 i thought you were a scratcher mainly? from what im told CDJ's dont even come close for scartching to Vinyl tables man...but im keen to hear a mix from you not sure on pricing though sorry man Quote
crundyy Posted October 9, 2011 Author Posted October 9, 2011 dont get me wrong i love my scratching but cos the case is so big it shits me setting up everything up everytime i want to scratch so i hardly fuckaround with them. Quote
Jaz Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 how much spare cash u got laying around, maybe just get some really cheap CDJ's and keep the TT's...because if u sell the TT's (which seems to be more your passion) and u end up hating CDJ's then you'll be up shit creek Quote
mattus123 Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 i agree with jaz maybe buy some cheap CDJsOR!! i would save up and buy serato. i am yet to hear of one person say they prefer the feel of CDJs over vinyl Quote
eggssell Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 hey crunds. not sure of how big your room is, or if your olds will let you claim the lounge/ study/ rumpus. but why not ditch the case and setup permanently? that way you can hop on whenevers clever.yeah not sure a way around the vinyl vs dvs predicament. it is a beehatch. though if you buy commercial stuff now (like kanye, beastie, snoop etc) you get the album and a digital download which is pretty good. crundyy Posted October 10, 2011 Author Posted October 10, 2011 True,I'll see what I can do but they're always in the way. If i has the room too make it aPermanent setup i dedinately would but i also wouldn't mind learning to mix Quote
mattus123 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 i also wouldn't mind learning to mixforgive me if i am way off.. i assumed you could mix? or am i reading that wrong? Quote
crundyy Posted October 11, 2011 Author Posted October 11, 2011 I can mix.... Just not very well cos I have about 3 records... I mainly dig stratching but I'm kinda getting over it. Quote
mattus123 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 ahh yea i see the problem therei know you said serato is too expensive, but you could save up the cash for it within a few weeks couldnt u?i wouldnt sell the techies.. not yet anyway Quote
