Hey guys new to the forums, so hi.

Look i picked these up from a cousin of mine, not really sure of what they are worth but to be honest i dont think i need all this and looking to see what i can get for them. They are in ok condition, there doesnt appear to be more than a couple light scratches here and there, nothing that im told which really effect its value if sold as 'used'. they were purchased in 2004 and were serviced in 09' to unsure still in excellent working order.

any and all assistance in helping me with this matter is much appreciated.

Thanks :D

this particular model? because im told there was later models. I was trying to work out whether they should be sold, or simply stored until such a time where i may use them. i like having them around just for that nice vinyl feel, but to be honest i think that for me to be all 'old school' with them would be just silly. besides i dont have any music on vinyl anyway (all cd's and mp3's these days). just didnt really make sense for me to keep them.

no.

check ebay. it goes up and down depending on the seasons.

you are right thre are a million mk2's on the market, so they get the least price. and it all depends on what it is loaded with. whether you still have dust covers. or whether its in a case. the state of the pitch.

i havent looked in ages, but there has been times when you could get 2 for $800. the average was prob 2 for $1K. but yes ive seen the go for more. again check ebay.

no idea about the djm.

Let me know if you're still after 2 technics SL1200's, I have 2 built into a sturdy roadcase that has wheels to get the thing in and out of gigs. The console also has mixer, gooseneck for microphone, and a syncrobeat plus (the syncrobeat is a dual BPM sampler that displays the bpm's of each turntable and they adjust as you move the pitch control up or down, takes the guess work out getting the beats close). console can be locked up with decent padlocks when not in use. would be a reluctant sale but the denon cd players suit me best these days.

1200's still exist to buy new, they are Mk 5's . dont believe wikipedia, check out the panasonic website. http://www.panasonic.com/consumer_electronics/technics_dj/prod_default_analog.asp I cant believe this bullshit about technics dropping out of the game. They are far superior and irreplacable (thier existance is a contribution to world peace). My 1200's were 3rd hand, ex hire and still going strong. Besides the occasional 'green death' (quartz lock) which those who are in the know know what I am saying. I have no qualms with the mighty 12's. Long live 1200's all hail the 1200. Bow down to them you digital maggots ...lol....as far as I know they were the first to make a mark and they will die a very very very long slow death. Long live 1200's (or 1250's) whatever, they are still solid and will outlive the CD.
