Mitch
i agree with jaz. For the full size platter decks, they rank like this (IMO) : 2000s > 900s > 850s > 1000s > 800s

mattus123
ive got 1000s and can vouch for thembut yea mitch is right, if u can get ur hands on 850's instead go for thatas for small platter vs big platter, ive used a small platter on a mates denons before, and it jsut felt WEIRDbig platter > small platter hands down i reconjsut did a quick ebay search, and it looks like ur not gonna get 850s much cheaper than 1700 (which blows ur budget without even tihnking bout the mixer)http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DJM800-CDJ10 ... 3a6a45976ci did see that though, itll obviously go up, but itd be worth having a crack at that
Mattye
yeh just keeping my eye out at the mo. wont properly start looking till i get my tax back.Tbh im slowly swaying towards 850's. even though its gona blow my budget...lol
Jaz
if your budget is tight i say go with average CDJ's for now but with a good mixer, DJM700 or 800, then get the good CDJ's laterBecause good CDJ's and a shocking mixer will probly benefit you less as your just starting out on CDJ's and only need the basics that 400's could easily provide you dudeits a hard decision though i know lol...while your waiting/saving just check ebay and gumtree and forums everyday waiting for an awesome deal...thats how i scored all my stuff cheap
Mattye
Yeh thats the thing. I dont want to buy something only wanting to upgrade in 6/12 months. Think ill spend a bit extra and get 850's and maybe just a 400 mixer

Suby
I agree with gandy, the record feature is one of the best things about the 350 mixer
