chizz101
Are CDJ 850s just as good as 1000s? Are they better? Worse? Need to know ASAP.Sorry for the crappy question
Gandy
hard to answer with such a short questionCDJ 850 easy, its pretty much the CDJ 1000 functionality with added USB/midi and Recordbox support + more
Mitch
personal opinion as to whether they are better or not. some quick points off the top of my head for each:CDJ 850s-recordbox integration-USB support-HID/MIDI support-auto beat looping-newer playerCDJ 1000s-No USB-Found in a lot more clubs, more of a standard (however getting phased out for 2000s)-Hot cues-You will almost certainly buying these used, and will all be a few years old.The 850s are similar to the 1000s but silver, and less the hot cues, but plus the USB support, so more media flexibility. I'd probably go 850s over 1000s However 900s are definately better than both
chizz101
Thanks guys, I'd be using Serato so it would probably be best to go the 850s. 900s or even 2000s WOULD be optimal lol however, one needs plenty of money to afford those and I'm restricting my budget to no more than $1500, and I sincerely doubt I would find 900s with that budget
