I'm not sure if its finished yet, but im tempted to leave it at that, mostly because my computer cant actually playback the DAW file anymore haha. Anyways, im pretty happy with it. Let us know what you think. http://soundcloud.com/haydo12/the-hollow-man

haydos
how come your computer cant play back the file though?it just got too big, theres like 30-40 synths in the whole track, and so much automation and other shit it makes my head spin. And yeh even with the widest buffer that it will allow, some sections it just skips and under runs so much i just cant work with it. The final stages of this track were painstakingly slow, make a change, export a section, listen, repeat x 1000. I probably need a new computer too, she runs well, but being like 4yrs old, it just cant keep up with the rate at which electronic music is changing. SweetIshDub
ah yeah i know exactly what you mean, sometimes it seems easier just to start a new track than deal with all that mess when it gets so complicated

haydos
This is legit. I wish it was longer. Cheers man, i'm actually working with a friend that has some unreal violin skills, to compose a really slow and sad piano/violin classical piece that will flow into the ambient spacey part at the start. With alot of practice and some midi controllers we're hoping to be able to perform the whole thing as a 15min live classical/dubstep fusion piece. I'll keep u posted on that.I'd also just like to point out how interesting it is composing say a solo piano piece, stripping away the beats, subs, devostating bass sounds, cymbals etc and trying to build a song with just one instrument that is interesting is a real challange, i'd recomend everyone should try it sometime.
