What should I buy?

Hey guys and girls out there,

I have recently sold my Stanton STR8.150s to a mate of mine and I was wondering what to buy to replace them from the CDJ range (just because it's industry standard). I have about $1200 at the moment but I'm willing to up that to $1500 if necessary. I'm currently using Serato and I am planning to keep using it. I was looking for 1000s or even 900s but it's not a definite.

Would appreciate some feedback,

Cheers

It is not a must that you have to get Industry Standard, and honestly the term is so over used. Pioneer range is more of a choice rather than a standard. If you bought any CDJ's from 350s up to 850s you will feel confident making the transition to either 900s,1000s or 2000s.

I agree 100% with this^ i went from cdj400s and a djm 600 straight to 1000s and an 800 in a club and found it easy to use, everything is just bigger..the djm 800 is very user friendly. for home use i'd also say go with a player that has usb functionality, otherwise you'll be going through cd's like no tomorrow, thats why i got 400s over the 800s

i was thinking the same thing before i bought my 400s. i found the jog wheel difference negligible. i dj clubs and don't have a cd collection, i burn my cds based on what room/set time im playing on the night, i'll take around 40 songs on the night, and just pick from those. soon enough most clubs will be running 900s or 2000s so a massive cd collection isn't really a big deal.
