Hobberz
Looks fine to me, it is second hand after all. As long as everything works, buy it. Clean it later.
SourceRaver
All the printing on the face looks Ok, not worn away, so it probably hasnt been flogged.
imadje
test every button works, use a manual if poss to be sure.test the platter works - set the platter to vinyl mode and test it responds instantly wherever you place your hand on it i.e. at every point of the 360 degrees of it's circle.test the nudge (edge of the platter ) is also responsive wherever you choose to nudge from. Leave it playing for an hour or so if poss, then try repeat the above. If no probs then you have no probs.
tubby
main thing is to test the platter works fine. If it was sticky or failing it might stop play when in vinyl mode, as it thinks it's being held down. try tapping the cue button when paused, it should play as long as you hold cue down and when you release go back to the cue point. Tap play and see how hard you have to hit to get it to play, does it work every time?there's nothing wrong with these units, but it's a few years old now so worth checking for signs of failure
