edit: in fact i wonder if anyone would like to invest in a niche in the market which supplies a community service and earns a private profit while giving a few of us "partners" a really interesting environment in which to work, play and throw parties? Wouldnt have to be bris but looks like the best option considering number of clubs/interest in DJing/existing services compared to syd and melb.

All I would really want is someone to register the business so we can get visas stating I would be employed, I'd come over, get the kids in school, find a roof over our heads, while also getting str8 on with finding premises for the dj school, kitting it out, promoting the service and then running the business. I'd do all the work really

My experience and references plus relevant training would have the government and education services eating from the palm of my hand.

Private customers would flock in and all be automatically membered to ADJF, the whole school could be branded as ADJF.

Then start a club event/talent showcase also branded with ADJF.

I'm prob going to do something along these lines anyway and will maintain ties to adjf out of respect, if you guys got fully on board it would just be quicker for me and more fun to have you all to bounce off.

hi cupe i know this is probably obvious and just annoying to mention but the one thing that dissapoints me about the site is logging on and seeing like no new posts.... i love this forum and reading all the interesting posts but theres just not enough people!!

imagine ten times the posts every day (and moderated just as good as now) would be AWESOME but i know thats not an easy thing but even being quieter than i want still the best place for a young aspiriing dj in aus!!

i dont mean to sound like a dick here cupe. but bit rough i know its suposed to be kept in offtopic but dosent mean everything outside of offtopic should be so straight lined and uniform, if ya know what i mean.

i think most people posted stupid shit because everyone is generally stoked with the forum and had no real ideas of what they want in there, so thought theyd want a laugh.

with the radio issue, what about have a production radio. stuff that only plays songs produced by people off these boards, could bring lots of producers looking to get some airtime.

adding to your producers on the radio, just have days where it plays adjf members own tracks that they created and then other days it can be peoples mixtapes or some of us mixing live on air

and if foolish sees this, i dont know if this is possible but maybe someone make a adjf radio company that does all this in a studio and stuff and then from there we could offer tutorials and lessons to people who wanna learn how to mix or produce, cause a lot of the guys on here have helped me out and thats just over the net, the amount of people we could reel in on the forums and on a radio would be huge, cause theres a lot of people out there who love djs and unknown producers making tracks, and if we could get some good air time and get it around it could be a big thing but yeah thats just my ideas and opinions

or you mean skype style face to face online tuition?

what has this to do with radio?

also: liking the idea of a forum for just mixtapes whcih is seperated into sub-threads for genres. So you know everything in that forum has something to listen to.

i mean like a separate part of the company, like theres the radio side and then a dj school side, which the djs in the city that its based in can teach people at this dj school. but there could be 2 sides to the ADJF company where theres a radio station and a dj school

I think there should be a "Mix Submissions" forum like over at my other forum, djforums.com

Like said a few times in this thread, it would allow people to look SPECIFICALLY for the stream / downloadable mix content of the site, but you also aren't MADE to look for those mixes Via sub genre forums (I have a few new mixsets in the Electro / Breaks forum, but they don't get listens really.)

well if you checked out djforums.com you'd see what I mean.

there's a mix submissions forum, and a production forum.. yet there's still always forums to talk about genres (House / Breakbeat / DnB etc) too.

so if people want to browse mix submissions from ADJF's members, they can just go to one forum. if they want to check out adjf producers, they can go to one forum.

Yea I did check out DJF (that forum was actually one of the main reasons ADJF was created (they never used to give Australia it's own section, it used to be included in 'everywhere else' and they seperated it not long after ADJF was made))

but anyway, I prefer it go in the genre sections, that way it's easier if you wanted to find a house mix or tracks or dubstep mixes or tracks and shit

Thanks for the suggestion, but it has been working alright so far, and it would be a huge mission to identify and move everything so far into a new section

We trialed a few different ways of having the forum setup back when the site originally launched, and came to the conclusion that is now the current format

Yeah we used to have dedicated mix and tune sections as well as the genre section, but it took too much attention away from the genres making them more or less redundant.
