Hobberz Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Finally no more threads about gear. Oh wait you still need a mixer. Good luck, even 800 for the pair is still a bargin. Quote

Hobberz Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 just buy them!!! 400s are good for partiesand get a 400 mixer (got no idea how much they cost but yeah)This was what he has been told in the 300 threads prior to this Can pick up a DJM400 for about 400-450. But I am pretty sure Sol wants A&H mixer. Quote
Hobberz Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 ^ correct :3 a&h xone 22I thought you wanted a 4ch mixer Quote
Slippy Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 yes xone22 is awesome and similar price im sure i read a post somewhere about a sale on them recently maybe storedj? anyways good luck man the 400s are great i payed like 2100 new from djwarehouse for whole kit in the blue limited edition with roadcase and soo happy with them still 1 yr later Quote
SolDios Posted August 14, 2011 Author Posted August 14, 2011 Going to hopefully be buying the 22 from cbd for 250, also I wanted a 4ch mixer but with HID I wont need it. Quote
SolDios Posted August 14, 2011 Author Posted August 14, 2011 Well, I was going to have my laptop plugged into the 3rd channel for requests, but with HID I don't need a sep one, I can just load the track into tracktor/vdj/whatever Quote
Hobberz Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Usually when people request a song you just mix it into your set, simple yeah. So why use a laptop for requests? Quote
SolDios Posted August 14, 2011 Author Posted August 14, 2011 Its ridiculously hard to find songs on usb's, in my opinion anyway Quote
Hobberz Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Ah ok, yeah forgot that you were not using cd's. Well good luck man, I had the 400's and they are brilliant. Quote
SolDios Posted August 14, 2011 Author Posted August 14, 2011 Perhaps if I get a better system of organising my music and putting it on usb's. hmmmIt will also stop twats thinking that I just click around on a laptopMan that pisses me off Quote
Slippy Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 sol im currently trying to organise my music for usb use and requests etc and if i can make it work will upgrade my 2 x 8gb to 2 x 32 gb to be able to have a huge amount of music on USB.(def dont want to use a laptop.. yet) surely we can figure out a good system between us ill let you know what i come up with and please let me know for yourself aswell im very confused and want to have about 5000 songs on usb but still access all of them quite easily! Mitch Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 i read 32gb usbs are no where near as stable as alot of the smaller sized usbs. Might have been on here somewhere even.IMO Your better off:- getting a few different usbs and labelling them in some sort of order (e.g. A-F on usb 1, G-L on usb 2, etc) - using cds arranged in some order (e.g. 1 track + its remixes per cd or something along those lines. No more than 7-8 tracks per CD - 8 tracks has reasoning behind it, to do burning processes and scratching of the cds)- use a timecode setup.one of these methods your going to have more success finding music quickly, rather than having 2 usb drives and trying to read off a tiny screen all night Quote
SolDios Posted August 14, 2011 Author Posted August 14, 2011 Cd's might be a better option if im planning to get into clubs, as I will have to burn a ass-load of em anyway. Quote
Slippy Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 yeah ive been thinking about going timecode with them but like the no laptop feel of it so much , ill see i gues but thanks for tip man i prob wont bother going bigger than 8gb then! Quote

andyman Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Make a thread titled "The SolDios gear thread" and post all of your pointless shit in there, so you don't clog up the boards every time you change your mind. And ffs, learn to Google, put shit in the correct section and post threads with somewhat relevant names. And you may think I sound like an asshole, but should know better by now. SolDios Posted August 15, 2011 Author Posted August 15, 2011 This one is legit, if he is still selling them and isn't a scammer I WILL buy them. Quote
