street Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 ok now that my rca-aux cable has stopped working, I cant use my monitors, so I think its about time to buy an audio interface, however im pretty clueless on the subject.I guess my question is, what is a suitable audio interface for a 13" macbook pro and KRK 8" monitors. I was thinking of using the XLR inputs on the monitors for the interface as my dj gear uses the rca inputs if that'll work? Quote

wazza Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 I would look at getting the cables you posted the link ( the rca & XLR ) & then get some mono jack to rca adaptors...why , because its more flexableif you need to plug your KRK 8's straight to a D.J mixer that has no jack outputs.. you just pill the adaptors off & away you goI only use P.C...but I know my boy CBG will help you set it up on mac if you need...well I hope he will helpP.s...will send the pac next weektried to get to the post-shop after work today but missed it by 5 minutes Quote

wazza Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 ok.... but thay look to be stereo not monodo you see two black rings around the tip off the jack...thats stereo....one ring mono , two rings is stereothay will work though....when you put them all the way into the jack outputs on the sound cardyou will have to pull the jack cable out a little until you feel a click Quote
